Arkansas has extended three offers in the state in 2018. Come inside for a look at some others the Hogs could offer.
The Class of 2018 in Arkansas has only seen the Razorbacks extend three offers at this time. Greenwood 4-star quarterback Connor Noland is committed and will sign on Dec. 20.
Ashdown 3-star cornerback LaDarrius Bishop is considering Arkansas along with nine other offers at this time. Earle 4-star quarterback Gerry Bohanon will announce his college decision on Friday. Bohanon could become the first in-state recruit offered by Bret Bielema to leave since North Little Rock's K.J. Hill.
The Razorbacks will host four camps on their campus for athletes in senior high in June and there's a good chance one or two more from inside the state could get an offer.
Some have been critical of Bielema having the majority of in-state recruits come to camp and earn the scholarship instead of it being give in advance. When looking for a reason to be critical of someone it's easy to find something. The Razorbacks having in-state recruits come to campus and earn one is nothing new and certainly didn't start with Bielema. Fort Smith Northside quarterback Matt Jones, Van Buren linebacker Clarke Moore, Harding Academy defensive end Jeb Huckeba and many others have earned scholarships by coming to camp.
The linemen camp at Arkansas will be a very interesting one. A couple of offensive linemen who will come to that with seemingly great chances of getting long looks are Lake Hamilton's Will Burgess and Jonesboro's Noah Gatlin. Those are two of the better players in the state who don't have an offer from the Hogs. Gatlin is pulling in offers from all over the nation. Burgess finished second in the shot put at the Meet of Champs last Saturday.
Springdale defensive end Isaiah Nichols is also drawing offers at a very fast pace. Nichols came to a scrimmage at Arkansas and is one to watch at the linemen camp this summer.
A couple of athletes are Little Rock Joe T. Robinson's Nathan Page and Charleston's Sean Michael Flanagan. They both have gained offers from other schools and are on Arkansas' radar. Both have been to scrimmages at Arkansas this spring.
A trio of other linemen who are drawing offers though Hogs may not get involved are Pulaski Academy's Luke Jones, Star City's Jax Gasaway and Fordyce's Billy Ferrell. Jones and Gasaway are offensive linemen while Ferrell plays defensive line and tight end.
