Arkansas is set to get a second visit from one of its top recruiting targets.
Arkansas got a visit from Independence (Kan.) Community College 3-star defensive tackle Emmit Gooden the weekend of April 28. He is set to visit again during the May 26 weekend and this time will be bringing his family with him.
Gooden told Hawgs247 in a text message on Thursday night about the visit. He is among the top recruits on Arkansas' wish list and is being sought by Paul Rhoads and John Scott Jr. On May 16 Gooden tweeted out his Top 20 schools which included the Razorbacks.
Gooden and Arkansas DE McTelvin Agim got to be good friends when the two were heading to their senior years in high school. Gooden is from Brownsville (Tenn.) Haywood and if he came to Arkansas actually could line up at the end opposite Agim. Agim is hoping Gooden lands with the Hogs as well.
As a freshman at Independence last season, Gooden had 55 tackles, 13.5 tackles for loss, four sacks, one pass breakup, two forced fumbles and one recovered fumble.
