UA recruiting coordinator Chris Vaughn said Thursday that the Razorbacks wanted to sign "at least two and maybe three guys" at mid-term.
He also noted that two of them could count back, but the third one would have to count forward.
He also said the Razorbacks would like to sign 25 players in Feb., but obviously would sign just 24 if one had to count ahead.
It would seem the mid-term possibilities are:
OL Skye Peterson (6-3, 295) - Miss. Delta CC - already committed
OL Brett Helms (6-3, 305) - Stuttgart
CB Mario Stevenson (6-2, 190) - Northeast Miss JC
S DaShon Golden (6-2, 205) - Coffeyville Kan CC
S Randy Kelley (6-1, 200) - Coffeyville Kan CC
So working with a total of 26 or 27 counting the mid-terms, look for them to sign:
• 3 Safeties (one being Fayetteville's Woody Wilson)
• 3 or 4 cornerbacks
• 5 or 6 offensive lineman
• 2 tight ends
• 2 or 3 running backs
• 1 QB
• 2 linebackers
• 3 wideouts
• 5 or 6 defensive lineman
That means left to get commited and signed (and numbers could change) are:
• 2 safeties
• 2 or 3 CBs
• 2 or 3 OL
• Maybe 2 TEs (because commit Lonnie Davis grades are shaky)
• 1 or 2 RBs
• 1 wideout
• 2 or 3 DL
