Arkansas, Ohio State top Morton's list

Highly-regarded Georgia prep defensive tackle gives Arkansas and Ohio State top billing.

Frank Morton, the highly-regarded 6-4, 280-pound defensive tackle from Decatur (Ga.) Southwest DeKalb, said Monday night that Arkansas and Ohio State continue to be his two leaders.

He will take visits to those two places as well as one to Tulane on Dec. 12-14 weekend and choose from among Oklahoma State, Georgia Tech, Auburn and Louisville for his final two visits.

Morton, rated as the 60th-best defensive tackle prospect in the country by The Insiders, has only other visit set up right now and that is to Arkansas on Jan. 16-18.

"Arkansas and Ohio State have always been my top two and the fact that Arkansas has a big need for defensive tackles right now has me really thinking about how that might be a great place for me," Morton said. "There are a lot of great things about both schools, but I think there would be a chance to play earlier at Arkansas."

Another reason Arkansas is at the top of the list is the chance to work with Razorback defensive line coach and former All-American Tracy Rocker according to Morton.

"I think he is a great coach and a great man," Morton said. "He has been there and done it before and gone on to play in the NFL. I think he could take me and teach me to become a better player and someone who could follow in his footsteps."
