Tigers Wrap Up Preparations for Homecoming

The Auburn Tigers spent two hours on the practice fields Thursday putting the finishing touches on their game plan for Saturday's Homecoming game against Louisiana Tech. Head Coach Tommy Tuberville was pleased with the result of practices this week.

''We had another good week of practice,'' Tuberville said. ''We need to continue believing that we can win and play like we have been practicing. Our guys have practiced hard all week and are looking forward to getting out on the field again. We did not play well against these guys (Louisiana Tech) last year and our players remember that. They are feeling confident right now after last week's win and are ready to play.''

Tuberville also noted that the Tigers are healthier going into this week's game than they have been in recent weeks.

''We will be close to full strength this week,'' Tuberville said. ''We have had a lot of players injured over the last few weeks, but we are as healthy now as we have been for awhile. Robert Johnson and Dontarrius Thomas both practiced today and are nearly full speed. Travaris Robinson, Ben Nowland and Brandon Johnson also all participated in practice and will be available Saturday.''

Saturday's game against Louisiana Tech marks the 88th observance of Homecoming at Auburn and the 75th Homecoming game. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. CT, and the game will be televised on a pay-per-view basis. For more information on how to order the broadcast, call the Auburn Network at (334) 826-2929.
