Morton hoping Nutt stays at Arkansas

Georgia defensive tackle Frank Morton, Jr. has heard and seen the rumors about UA coach being involved with Nebraska and hopes he stays in Fayetteville or he will likely look elsewhere.

Count Georgia prep defensive tackle Frank Morton, Jr. among those who hope Nebraska doesn't lure Arkansas head coach Houston Nutt away from Fayetteville.

"If they do, that would really change my thought process about going to Arkansas," Morton said Thursday. "I would really have to think about whether I would still be interested because he is such a great man and has such a family atmosphere and that is one of the reasons that I am considering there. "Also (assistant) Coach (Tracy) Rocker might not be there anymore," Morton added. "They would really have to have somebody great to keep me interested. I hope he stays at Arkansas."

Morton, a 6-3, 280-pound standout from Decatur (Ga.) Southwest, has already visited Tulane and has a trip to Arkansas slated for Jan. 16-18.

He may also visit Ohio State Jan. 9-11.

"The Ohio State coaches continue to call me and I am thinking I might go up there on Jan. 9," Morton said.

The Tulane visit back in Dec. went well for Morton.

"I liked it," Morton said. "Tulane is a nice school and New Orleans is a great city to be in. I already have some people from my school playing there. But I am anxious to get to Arkansas and see if it is everything I think it is going to be."
