Michael Tate, the 6-4, 240-pound defensive end from Tulsa's Booker T. Washington High School, was surprised to hear there were reports out Tuesday that he was having a press conference.
"No sir, I am not having one yet," Tate said. "I wonder where that can from."
But Tate, who had a whopping 153 tackles and 11 sacks this season, did say that he has a clear frontrunner after previously having a top two of Arkansas and Tennessee.
Tate has already visited Oklahoma State and had planned to go to Tennessee on Jan. 23-25.
"Actually sir, it's just Arkansas," Tate said. "I planning on committing after I visit over there on the 16th. That's what I am thinking right now."
