Tuberville: Team Ready to Play

The 17th-ranked Auburn Tigers spent two hours on the practice fields Thursday putting the finishing touches on their game plan for Saturday's game at Arkansas. Head Coach Tommy Tuberville expects his team to be ready to play Saturday and is encouraged at the health of the team.

"We have had another good week of practice," Tuberville said. ''Our guys are excited about getting back on the field and we are as healthy as we have been in recent weeks. It looks like everyone will be ready to go Saturday with the exception of Mark Brown. We are going to wait and see how he feels tonight and tomorrow and go from there.

Tuberville also noted the importance for the team to play well against Arkansas with an upcoming off-week ahead.

We need to go out Saturday and play hard. Next week is an off-week so we will have time to get our legs back. They have regrouped from last week and will come out ready to play against Arkansas. This is a good group of young men. Our team chemistry is getting better and our players are learning how to practice and keep up their intensity. This week's road game will be a challenge, but I think we are ready.''

Kickoff for Saturday's game at Arkansas is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. at Reynolds Razorback Stadium. The game will be televised by Jefferson Pilot Sports.
