UA-Ole Miss Game in Hall of Fame

A special collection of items from the longest football game in NCAA history highlight the latest changes to the College Football Hall of Fame in South Bend, Ind. The temporary exhibit includes two game balls and a game program from the Nov. 3 Ole Miss-Arkansas game in the Decade of 2000-2010 exhibit.

Perhaps three of the most "well-traveled" items in the Hall of Fame come courtesy of the aforementioned longest game in NCAA history on Nov. 3.

The Ole Miss Rebels and the Arkansas Razorbacks played a NCAA record seven overtimes before the Razorbacks escaped with a 58-56 victory. Other NCAA records set that day include the most points scored in an overtime by one team, the most points scored in an overtime by both teams and total plays in a game by two teams.

The ball coming from Arkansas is painted to reflect the feats of the game and the Ole Miss ball is autographed by quarterback Eli Manning. A program from the game at Ole Miss is between the two game balls.
