Arkansas head coach Houston Nutt has lifted the suspension on tailback Fred Talley for Tuesday's game with Oklahoma in the Cotton Bowl.
Most of the Hogs' practice Friday at Texas Stadium was closed to the media, but afterwards Nutt said that tailback Cedric Cobbs practiced on a limited basis and would likely play in the game. Cobbs is bothered by a bad back. Nutt said, "I expect Cedric to play in the game. He did practice some today."
Nutt said Brandon Holmes "has earned a start with his bowl practices," and that the sophomore tailback would be the starter against Oklahoma. Nutt said, "Brandon deserves this opportunity. He's practiced hard."
However, Nutt said that Talley's suspension had been lifted and the junior tailback "would play in the game. I don't know how the layoff will affect him. Fred is probably going to be rusty, but he'll play."
