Jonathan Lewis, the 6-3, 265-pound Texas prep defensive linemen from Carrollton Newman Smith, said Sunday night that he has three of the four official visits he is planning on taking all set up.
That would be trips to Arkansas (Dec. 3-5), Kansas State (Dec. 10-12) and Wisconsin (Dec. 17-19). He also remains interested in Alabama and is talking to their coaches about a visit there.
"I have watched all of Arkansas' games lately and be very impressed with how hard they play," said Lewis, who is being recruited by UA assistant James Shibest.
It was a tough season for his 0-10 team, but he felt good about his play.
"I thought I played pretty well and it was a worthwhile season from the fact that we learned to fight through adversity," Smith said. "It didn't show up in our record, though, and that was tough."
