Capers' Co-Leaders

New Orleans (La.) St. Augustine tight end Selvish Capers (6-4, 230) enjoys his visit to Arkansas enough to name it one of his co-leaders.

After a visit to the University of Arkansas that concluded on Monday, New Orleans (La.) St. Augustine tight end now has a tough decision on his hands.

Going into his visit with the Razorbacks, his clear leader was West Virginia, a school he had already visited.

"The visit to Arkansas is a 10 and the one to West Virginia was a 10 so now they are tied," Capers said. "They are not 1 and 1A. They are 1 and 1."

Capers, who will visit Memphis weekend, is a 6-4, 230-pound prospect who caught 13 passes for 263 yards and four touchdowns this season, in a run-oriented offense.

"I didn't get thrown to a lot, but made the most of it when I did," Capers said.

Capers' previous experience with Arkansas had been an unofficial visit to see the Razorbacks play LSU at Little Rock's War Memorial Stadium.

He was amazed in the difference in that stadium, which Arkansas plays two home games in a year, and it's one in Fayetteville.

"What a difference," Capers said. "I was amazed. Arkansas and West Virginia are both nice and a lot alike except for that. Arkansas' facilities are a lot better."

Capers' visit to Arkansas actually started late Saturday night and he finished it up on Monday.

"I tell you one thing, they sure fed me well," Caper said. "I got to see a lot, but didn't get to meet as many people as normal because finals were going on. It was a great visit."

Capers will take the visit to Memphis and then size things up.

"I'll sit down and talks things over with my family," Capers said. "It's going to be a tough decision."
