University of Arkansas freshman center Darian Townes was hurt late in Monday's practice when he and Razorback junior Jonathon "Pookie" Modica collided under the goal.
"He sprained his (right) knee," UA trainer Dave England said. "We'll know more tomorrow. He looks okay."
Townes (6-10, 253) did not finish practice, but was able to walk around on the knee.
Razorback head coach Stan Heath said he did not want to worry about Townes' availability for Wednesday's SEC opener between Arkansas (12-1) and visiting Ole Miss (9-4) - both of whom are riding seven-game win streaks.
"I'm not going to even think about until tomorrow when Dave gives me an idea of what we have," Heath said. "We basically have a couple of days. I am not going to give it much thought until I have a better feeling."
Townes is averaging 8.7 points, 4.1 rebounds and has 28 blocks this season while coming off the bench in all but one game.
