Razorbacks Hope to Impress at Senior Bowl

The road to the NFL for Arkansas draft hopefuls goes through Mobile, Alabama this week. Jermaine Petty, Carlos Hall and Shannon Money are in Alabama practicing with the South squad for Saturday's game.

Most of the scouts and NFL coaches will have departed by then. It's during the morning and afternoon practices leading up to the game where impressions are made:
"The Senior Bowl and the days leading up to it comprise the single most critical week for the senior NFL prospects. In fact, I have always referred to the week in Mobile, Ala., as combine workout No. 1. Although the players will not be timed in the 40, they will be measured and weighed. With owners, GMs, player personnel directors, scouts, head coaches and assistant coaches lining the sidelines, the players go through structured and intense practices with one-on-one drills against top players with NFL coaching. They are heavily scrutinized and under enormous pressure..."
Carlos Hall recorded 49 tackles, five for loss, and led the Arkansas defense with 14 quarterback hurries to earn second-team AP All-SEC honors in 2001. A 6-4, 261-pounder from Mariann, Ark., he finished his career with 167 total tackles, 12 quarterback sacks and ranks 11th on the all-time school list in tackles for loss with 29 for 122 yards...
