Weekend Visit List for Jan. 25-27

Arkansas will entertain 17 visitors this weekend. Here's the data on who the Hogs have lined up to trek to the Ozarks, and a summary of each visitor.

Arkansas will entertain 17 visitors this weekend. Here is a brief look at each:

1. Reggie Banks, DE, 6-4, 270, 5.0, Shreveport (La.) Evangel-- Banks had 54 tackles as a senior. Originally committed to Arkansas, but then switched to Texas Tech. Now is open and has had a great semester in school academic wise. Arkansas or Texas Tech. Rated No. 32 player in Louisiana by SuperPrep.

2. Lucas Jackson, OLB, 6-0 1/2, 215, 4.65, West Monroe (La.)-- Had 163 tackles, 5 sacks and 1 intereption as senior. Rated No. 34 player in Louisiana by SuperPrep. Already qualified and orally committed to the Razorbacks. A great one here.

3. Rhett Lashlee, QB, 6-2 1/2, 186, 4.6, Shiloh Christian-- Career national leader for TD passes with 170. More mobile than many realize. Has been offered by Tulsa and Middle Tennessee State and is being invited to walk-on at UA.

4. Mitch Nuckolls, OL, 6-8, 300, 5.3, Russellville-- Big kid who has only played two years of high school football. Played defense for very good Russellville team, but will have to switch to offense in college. Arkansas may ask him to walk-on this weekend.

5. DeAngelo Williams, RB, 5-9, 192, 4.42, Wynne-- Arkansas Democrat-Gazette Offensive Player of the Year as a senior while leading his high school team to state title in 4A. Ole Miss may lead Arkansas, Memphis and Iowa at this time. Houston Nutt spoke at his banquet on Thursday night and that went well.

6. Tyler Morgan, C, 6-5 1/2, 275, 5.1, Hot Springs-- Son of former Hot Springs coach. This kid will help in time and hopefully very soon. Legit size and should a future star at UA, where he has already committed.

7. John Jackson, ATH, 5-11 1/2, 196, 4.39, Monticello-- Recently passed the ACT and thus will be eligible at Arkansas next season. Very good athlete who played quarterback and defensive back in high school. Threw for 1,287 yards and 13 TDs while rushing for 618 yards and 12 TDs. Had 2 interceptions on defense. Oral commitment to Razorbacks.

8. Jon Hedges, FB-LB, 6-2, 221, 4.7, Murray (Ky.)-- This kid can really deep snap and might be asked to walk-on for a year and then have chance to be four-year starter once Chuck Nalley leaves. I can also see him being used as an Adam Daily-type fullback. If Nuckolls, Lashlee and Hedges all walked on at UA it would be a steal for the Razorbacks. Has been offered by most colleges in Kentucky.

9. Sammy Olajubutu, OLB, 5-10, 205, 4.5, LaGrange (Ga.)-- His prep coach calls him the best player in the state and LaGrange has a DB going to Georgia. Has orally committed to Mississippi State, but if Hogs offer they may get him. Pound for pound one of the best players in the nation. Had approximately 180 tackles as senior.

10. Aaron Scranton, DE, 6-6, 230, 4.75, Buford (Ga.)-- Georgia's MVP of the Georgia-Florida All-Star game. Finished senior year with 80 tackles, 8 sacks and 20 tackles for loss. Has 3.6 GPA and 1200 SAT and will choose between Georgia Tech and Arkansas. SuperPrep rates him No. 51 player in Georgia.

11. Joey Horne, OL, 6-7, 299, 5.2, Hiram (Ga.)-- Has committed to Texas Tech, but may switch his commitment around. Horne has a 3.7 GPA and 900 SAT. SuperPrep rates him the state's No. 34 player.

12. David Thompson, WR, 6-2, 180, 4.48, Memphis University Prep-- SuperPrep rates him the state's No. 12 player in state. As senior, caught 35 passes for 495 yards and 1 TD. Owns 3.2 GPA, 26 ACT and 1180 SAT. Has committed to Arkansas.

13. Eugene Cousart, ATH, 5-11, 220, 4.4, Memphis Whitehaven-- Just recently passed the ACT and is now a hot recruiting commodity. Rushed for 1,900 yards and 18 TDs as senior. Arkansas, Memphis and Mississippi State are still left.

14. Jacob Pitman, OL, 6-7, 310, 5.3, North Mesquite (Texas)-- Has eliminated TCU from recruiting with Arkansas and Baylor left in the hunt. Big-time prospect who has a chance to really excel in time in college. Arkansas has good chance at him and has offered.

15. Jason Carter, CB, 5-11, 175, 4.3, Jenks (Okla.)-- Rated No. 9 player in Midlands by SuperPrep and No. 2 player in Oklahoma. Has orally committed to OU, but his girlfriend attends Arkansas. Had 38 tackles, 3 sacks, 7 interceptions as senior. 2.5 GPA and 18 on ACT.

16. Charles Walker, DL, 6-3, 275, 4.8, Beggs (Okla.)-- Rated No. 59 player in Midlands by SuperPrep. Had 125 tackles and 26 sacks as senior. Has committed to Missouri, but Arkansas has now offered and will make a strong run this weekend. 2.8 and 19 ACT.

17. Zac Tubbs, OL, 6-7, 330, 5.3, Cullman (Ala.)-- Big offensive lineman who has a chance to help soon at Arkansas, where he has orally committed. Attended a camp here in summer and will be good addition to Hogs.
