A 6-foot, 195-pound senior with 4.6 speed in the 40-meter dash, Upchurch rushed for 2,543 yards and 27 touchdowns on 305 carries this past season. Listed as the No. 33 running back prospect in the country by Scout.com, Upchurch had taken an official visit to Arkansas on Jan. 21-23, his final official visit.
Upchurch -- who was being recruited by Razorbacks assistant Chris Vaughn -- would have become Arkansas' second Parade All-American running back to commit in the same class had he chosen the Hogs. Pulaski Oak Grove tailback Darren McFadden -- who committed to Arkansas back in April -- was also named to the Parade All-American team.
