Richardson on Tennessee

Arkansas travels to Tennessee for a 7 p.m. game on Wednesday, which will be televised by Jefferson-Pilot Sports. Arkansas (12-10, 4-6) is coming off a 79-67 loss at Ole Miss while UT (12-11, 5-5) is coming off a 72-54 loss at South Carolina.

"Tennessee came back after losing two or three in a row and won four in a row. They lost one of their better players. When that happens, sometimes it jacks up the other players. He has some good players. Buzz has held them together and they've been very competitive. We'll press some, but it's the same old story. We pressed at Alabama the whole game and we were down 35 at one time. We pressed at home and did a pretty good job against Florida, but Florida missed a ton of free throws. We will try to play whatever style we need to play to win a game. We can't win if we don't make three-point shots because we don't have much of an inside game.

"Vincent Yarbrough is a very smooth player. He's a forward-guard everybody would love to have. He can shoot, rebound and make free throws. He has a chance to be a pro and he's always caused us problems."

Ole Miss recap:

"We didn't shoot the ball that badly. They shot the ball as well as any team I've ever seen. They kept hitting them and they never missed a free throw. They made a lot a jump shots. Ole Miss made 17 free throws before they missed one. Our style of play is basically the way we played the second half at Ole Miss, but it hasn't been that successful on the road. I thought the difference was we didn't play that way in the first half and it caught them off guard."

Making decisions:

"We've had turnovers all year in key situations. Our decision-making has been very poor at times. If we're ahead and doing well, we're pretty good. If we're behind and trying to catch up and calls are going against us, we don't know how to adjust."

Michael Jones and Larry Satchell not playing at Ole Miss:

"Michael Jones was sick and I didn't think he looked good in practice. I thought he looked weak. Larry hurt his thumb (right) again and so he didn't practice."

Brandon Dean:

"He's playing harder than he ever has, but I don't think he has regained what he had (prior to knee injury against Ole Miss on Jan. 19) yet because he's not shooting the ball like he had been."

Matt Jones:

"Matt did an excellent job and he will play a little more. He played 14 productive minutes. That 14 minutes can go to 20 or 25 overnight. There's no question right now, he will be in the starting lineup. He can help us."

The SEC:

"What a year. I hate that it's happening to us. We can't put a run together and we have to put one together. Everybody is still in it so everybody is still fighting. Tennessee is still in it and we're going to fight. What we have to do is win a game."

Playing on the road:

"Our confidence has slipped. We're not as good on the road as we are at home. The only way to get that confidence back is to get a win. All it takes is a big win. Last year, we went to South Carolina and won and then we had it going."

The rest of the season:

"No one expects more of me than I do. In order for me to do my job right, I have to want it more than anything, and I do. That's why we have to continue to work and build up our recruiting, and I finally see the light at the end of the tunnel. Something good is going to happen with this group, I really believe that. If we can just get over the hump once, our confidence will go the other way. That's what I'm looking for."
