Decision Nearing for Georgia LB/DE

Donnell Sanders is a DE/LB prospect from North Clayton High School in the Greater Atlanta area. Unfortunately his senior season was cut short last week when he suffered a partial tear of the ligaments in his right knee. That has not stopped schools from recruiting him however and he has picked up some very nice offers so far to this point.

"I have offers from Arkansas, Virginia Tech, Kent State, Akron and Jacksonville State University. Everyone is recruiting me at either defensive end or linebacker," Donnell Sanders said.

Which schools stand out the most to him?

"My top schools are Virginia Tech, Arkansas, Florida State, Bowling Green and Alabama. I like those schools because they were the first ones to recruit me and I talk to their coaches more."

Sanders is looking at setting up some official visits shortly.

"I haven't set any visits yet but I'm going to be doing that shortly. I have to talk to the coaches a little bit more."

Will he attend any games this fall?

"I've been looking at going to some games but I haven't yet. I may go to one at Georgia Tech or Virginia Tech here soon."

What will he be looking for when he goes on his trips?

"I just want to see how they live at each of the schools and how they treat their players and stuff. I'm also going to be looking at the facilities like their weight rooms and dorms."

Fans may not have to wait on his decision very long because Donnell appears close to making his choice.

"I might commit early. It might be just a couple of weeks away. We'll just have to see."
