Memphis prep basketball star Thaddeus Young announced that he will sign with Georgia Tech at a Monday press conference before a packed house at his high school.
Young (6-8, 210) - the nation's second-best small forward and the sixth best overall player nationally according to Scout.com - announced his choice as Georgia Tech at 10 a.m. in a press conference at Memphis Mitchell High School.
Young, who averaged 28 points and 14 rebounds last season, picked from Arkansas, Georgia Tech and Kentucky.
Young officially visited Arkansas, Georgia Tech, North Carolina and Kentucky.
Arkansas already has a star-studded recruiting class that includes Michael Washington (6-10, 230), Stefan Welsh (6-3, 180), UA-Fort Smith star Sonny Weems (6-6, 200) and will also have Mississippi State transfer Gary Ervin and juco transfer Ryan McBride as newcomers next season.
