Hill Resigns to Take Post With Clemson

Senior Associate Athletic Director Katie Hill has resigned her position at the University of Arkansas to take a post at Clemson University. Hill has worked with the UA athletic department and Razorback Foundation for more than 14 years, working primarily with the department's financial matters as well as handling special projects and other administrative duties.

Hill will join former Razorback administrator and new Clemson Athletic Director Terry Don Phillips as a senior associate athletic director early next month.

"We are deeply indebted to Katie for her 14 years of loyalty and dedication to the Razorbacks," UA Athletic Director Frank Broyles said. "From her four years with the Razorback Foundation through her 10 years here in the athletic department, I have found her to be one of the most competent and talented administrators I have ever worked with. Her expertise has served the athletic department's need for astute fiscal management in difficult economic times and through several significant facility construction projects.

"I have relied on her counsel in many areas and know that she will play a very important role in working with Terry Don Phillips at Clemson. We will all miss Katie very much and we wish her well as she accepts this new challenge in her career."

On Tuesday, Hill will be honored at the 2002 Women of Distinction Award Ceremony at the Clarion Inn in Fayetteville. The event is cooperative effort of Northwest Arkansas' Women's Groups including the Noark Girl Scout Council, Executive Women International, Altrusa International of Bentonville/Bella Vista, Altrusa International of Fayetteville and the Hispanic Women's Organization.
