WR Brett Smith to Play QB for Warren HS

How would you like to catch 106 passes for 1,899 yards and score 23 touchdowns. That's what wide receiver Brett Smith did last season as a junior. Amazing! Smith is now a 6-2 and 175 pound senior from Warren, Arkansas.

"I just go out there and catch the ball," said Smith. "I have good hands and run good routes. I do not have the best speed in the world and that is something I am trying to work on."

This season, Smith will play quarterback for Warren High School.

"I played that position in ninth grade. The team needs me and that is where coach wants me. I will do what he says."

So far, Smith has one scholarship offer and that's from Arkansas. The rest of the SEC is showing interest and recruiting him.

"Right now, I am open between Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Tennessee and Ole Miss. Playing early doesn't really matter. I want an education and to be able to relate to the coaches."

Smith is also quite a basketball player. Last season, he averaged 19 points per game playing guard.
