McFadden Joins Teammates

Arkansas coaches were happy as the team reported for orientation on Thursday. Among the early arrivals was tailback Darren McFadden and his surgically repaired big toe. The sophomore star was on hand when the team assembled for the first meal of fall workouts.

Trainer Dean Weber and the Arkansas football staff got their wish today when Darren McFadden arrived on campus with the rest of his teammates.

There was some talk that McFadden, out with surgery for a broken toe, might remain at his Little Rock home as he began his recovery from the injury suffered late last week. The UA medical staff wanted him on campus so they could make sure there were no infections from the surgery, the one thing they worried the most about in his rehab.

So McFadden's arrival Thursday afternoon was good news for the team. He joined the rest of his teammates for the team meal Thursday evening.
