Storyline • Kickers Wrap Up Perfect Week

It's been a long time since Todd Latourette. But that's the name that UA coach Houston Nutt was invoking Friday when the two players left battling for the place-kicking position wrapped up what Nutt said was a perfect week of practice.

"We've never done this before," Nutt said. "We've made them all week long. We haven't missed one."

Early Friday night, while practice was still open to the media, Stephen Arnold and Dan Bailey each went 4-for-4 on field goals of approximately 40 yards.

Each kicker attempted two from each hash.

Nutt said he wasn't waiting for one or the other to "crack" but wanted them both to continue to excel.

"This has been a positive," Nutt said. "They haven't missed one all week. That's been a long time since I've witnessed that — since Todd Latourette."

Earlier this week, the Razorbacks narrowed the list of prospective kickers in half, eliminating Jeremy Davis and Joel Hall, although Nutt has said since that Davis could work his way back into the mix.

Today's scrimmage will feature quite a bit of special teams work, Nutt said.
