2003 Recruiting: LB Victor DeGrate

There are many high quality linebacker prospects in the Lone Star State this season. One of the best is Victor DeGrate from DeSoto, Texas. DeGrate, 6-4 and 235 pounds, plays middle linebacker.

"The main thing about me is that I like to be real physical out there," said DeGrate. "I am quick and I have good fundamentals. I rarely miss tackles."

According to DeGrate, he has scholarship offers from Oklahoma, Michigan, Missouri, Alabama, Florida, USC, Arkansas, Texas A&M and TCU.

"I want to play for a school where I can get good exposure and win. I want to go to the NFL one day. Right now, I like Florida, Oklahoma, USC, Missouri, Michigan, Missouri, Arizona, Alabama, and Arkansas. At this time, I do not have a leader and I would like to leave the state of Texas. I would like a fresh start because I have been in Texas my whole life."
