Arkansas didn't get much respect from the media during preseason voting among Southeastern Conference writers attending the annual SEC Football Media Days. Arkansas was picked fifth in the SEC Western Division, while LSU, the defending conference champion, topped the divisional poll with 43 of a possible 82 first-place votes. Alabama picked up 24 first-place votes and garnered second while Ole Miss, Auburn, Arkansas and Mississippi State rounded out the division selections.
