Texas Returns to Schedule in 2003

Seven home games and the return of former Southwest Conference rival Texas to the schedule highlight the 12-game 2003 football slate for the University of Arkansas.

Florida is back on the schedule for the first time since 1997 and the Gators are one of five teams scheduled in Fayetteville.

The Razorbacks play Tulsa, Auburn, Florida, New Mexico State and Mississippi State in Fayetteville, and face North Texas and South Carolina in Little Rock.

Arkansas has road dates at Texas, Alabama, Ole Miss, Kentucky and LSU.

The Hogs open the season Sept. 6 against Tulsa before traveling to Texas on Sept. 13. UA plays in Little Rock against North Texas on Sept. 20 and travels to Alabama on Sept. 27.

Following an Oct. 4 open date, Auburn and Florida visit Fayetteville on Oct. 11 and Oct. 18, respectively. The Razorbacks play consecutive road games for the only time over the next two weeks with dates at Ole Miss on Oct. 25 and at Kentucky on Nov. 1.

A three-game homestand follows with South Carolina in Little Rock on Nov. 8, New Mexico State in Fayetteville on Nov. 15 and Mississippi State in Fayetteville on Nov. 22.

UA closes the regular season at LSU on Nov. 29.
