Four Hogs Named to FWAA All-America Watch List

Four members of the 2002 Arkansas Razorbacks football team have been named to the Football Writers Association of America (FWAA) All-America watch list. Named to the list are tailback Fred Talley, offensive tackle Shawn Andrews, free safety Ken Hamlin and return specialist Lawrence Richardson.

Talley, a senior, played in all 11 games in 2001 and led the Razorbacks in rushing. He rushed 164 times for 774 yards, picking up an average of 4.7 yards per rush and four touchdowns.

Andrews, a sophomore offensive tackle, returns for this year's campaign following an All-America freshman season that saw him garner second-team All-SEC honors. He is a consensus preseason All-SEC selection, and has also been named to the Outland Trophy and Lombardi Award watch lists.

Hamlin returns for his junior season, following a stellar sophomore season at free safety. He has been named as a first or second-team pre-season All-American by numerous publications. He has also been named as a Bronko Nagurski Player of the Year nominee after recording 118 tackles in 2001.

Richardson, a cornerback and kickoff returner, is listed as one of the nation's top return specialists prior to his junior season. He returned 18 kicks for 416 yards and one touchdown, including a 98-yard touchdown return against Weber State. He averaged 23.1 yards per return in 2001. He has also been listed to numerous first-team All-SEC lists at cornerback.
