Hogs Put Finishing Touches On LSU Preparation

FAYETTEVILLE -- Arkansas coach Houston Nutt said his team is ready for its next challenge.

"They are focused," Nutt said. "They have been all year. That's what I love about this team."

The No. 5 Razorbacks meet No. 9 LSU at 1:30 p.m. Friday in War Memorial Stadium in the regular-season finale in what promises to be another classic.

Arkansas finished up its last full-scale practice on a warm, windy Wednesday in preparation for LSU.

"You can see why they are the No. 1 defense in the country," Nutt said. "It's easy to see why. They have excellent athletes, big, big guys that can fly and run to the football.

"They are very stingy at giving up rushing yards. We have to be at our best.

"Offensively for them, it starts with (quarterback) JaMarcus Russell, a guy thats 6-foot-6, 256. I hadn't seen anybody, anybody that gets to him to get him rattled. I've seen guys all over him ... throwing off his back foot.

"Strong, strong arm. We have to do a great job. They've got big, big receivers that are very, very good.

"They've got a good football team."

Nutt said playing in Arkansas is a relief.

"I'm glad we're playing in Little Rock," Nutt said. "Looking forward to it."

So, what's the secret to winning?

"We've got to play our best game," Nutt said. "We have to win the line of scrimmage."
