Cook's Decision Due Tuesday

Blinn College All-American defensive end Alex Cook (6-5, 225, 4.5) has now taken all of his visits and will announce his decision between Arkansas, California and Arizona State on Tuesday.

Blinn College All-American defensive end Alex Cook has been quite the traveler these last few weeks.

Cook (6-5, 225, 4.5), who was named a second-team junior college All-American for his efforts this season, has made official visits to Iowa State, Arkansas, California and Arizona State all in the last three weeks.

The standout pass rusher, who had 13 sacks this season among his 68 tackles on Blinn's 12-0 national championship squad, is now down to a top 2 with a decision coming on Tuesday.

"Really I have a top two in Arkansas and California," Cook said Sunday right before getting ready to watch the Super Bowl. "Arizona State would be in my top 3, but it's Arkansas and California that are my top two."

Arkansas strong safety commit Walner Leandre (6-1, 220, 4.4), also a second-team All-American at Blinn this season, is working hard to bring his buddy to the Razorbacks as well.

"That's my roommate right there and he's telling me we need to go to Arkansas together," Cook said. "We're both from Florida and we have done everything together and he sees no reason for us to stop now."

He certainly enjoyed his visit to Arkansas the previous weekend when both he and Leandre made it to Fayetteville.

"I had a great visit, a great visit," Cook said. "I really enjoyed chilling with the players and the coaches and the food – oh my God, the food was so, so good."

Cook, who played his high school football at Osceola High in Seminole, Fla., said the fact that all his visits have been very good has made it tough.

"That's the hard part," Cook said. "They were all very cool and all have great things about them."

Cook has a few people who is going to talk with before making his decision known in a couple of days.

"I am going to make my decision known on Tuesday," Cook said. "I am going to call a coach at Oklahoma State named Alan Johnson that used to be one of my coaches at Blinn. I am going to call a few people back home just to get their thoughts and then let everybody know."
