Report: Mustain Plans To Visit USC

FAYETTEVILLE -- Quarterback Mitch Mustain could join his former high school and college teammate, wide receiver Damian Williams, in Southern California.

Mustain will take a visit to USC in the next two weeks with the idea of transferring to the school in the fall, according to a report in the Los Angeles Daily News on Thursday.

Mustain asked Arkansas coach Houston Nutt for a release from his scholarship last month, so he could transfer to another school. But Mustain continues to take classes at Arkansas as he considers his options.

Williams, who was one of Mustain's favorite targets at Springdale High and Arkansas, transferred to USC after the end of the regular season. He's already enrolled in classes for the spring semester, though he must sit out next year.

Mustain started eight games with the Razorbacks this past season, winning all of them.
