Alexander On the Radar

Carl Albert brought some solid talents to the All-American Combine that was held in Dallas on March 25th. One player who has started to get his name on to the recruiting radar of many programs is defensive tackle Pierre Alexander, who has an explosive first step.

Pierre Alexander, a 6-foot-0, 280-pound defensive tackle from Carl Albert High School in Midwest City, Okla., had a great time at the All-American Combine.

"It was the experience of a lifetime," Alexander said. "I kind of grew up as a Cowboys fan, so that was pretty exciting to see their practice facilities. I got to meet the NFL players like Kenny Irons who were there for a photo shoot."

Recruiting is beginning to pick up for Alexander.

"It is going pretty good," Alexander began. "I have been receiving a lot of interest from Colorado State, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, SMU, Arkansas and Iowa State."

"Colorado State has been recruiting me pretty hard. Arkansas has been sending me a lot of letters."

At the combine Alexander showed a very quick first step and he believes his quickness is what sets him apart.

"That is pretty much it right there," Alexander informed of his abilities. "I am going to fire off of the ball. I try to beat them with the first step and us my speed."

"The player that I love is Tommie Harris. I try to play like him. He is one of the best defensive players that I have seen play in awhile."

Alexander is now beginning to finalize his summer camp plans.

"I have a junior day at Colorado State," Alexander reported. "I want to do as much as possible camp wise this summer."

"I plan to go to the LSU team camp. I will go to a lot of camps at Oklahoma. I wil also go to Oklahoma State for some camps."
