Hogs After Georgia Athlete

Vance King has been receiving an abundance of recruiting attention thus far in to the recruiting process, and things got even more interesting last week when he added offers from Arkansas and North Carolina State. Scout.com caught up with King for the latest.

Vance King, a 6-foot-1, 200-pound athlete from Stockbridge High in Georgia has been one of the more highly recruited players in the state.

So far in to the process he has picked up offers from schools like Vanderbilt, Purdue, North Carolina, Indiana, Navy and North Carolina Sate. Last Wednesday he added a SEC offer when the Arkansas Razorbacks stepped up to the plate.

King was pretty excited about what the Hogs may potentially bring to the table.

"Oh yeah that was a pretty good offer," King said. "They are an SEC school that is going to be pretty god every year. I got to watch them play a few times last year, and they were always very good."

As a junior, King earned All-County honors after compiling over 60 tackles on defense. Additionally he added over 500 yards on offense, and averaged over 10.3 yards per rushing attempt.

King admits that he does not have a positional preference, but he does know one thing that he wants to do when he gets out there on the field.

"I love to hit," King said. "I am open to playing either side of the ball, but I know that I love to come up in the box and make a big play against the run. Maybe to a fault, but I want to come up and make that big play.

"I love it."

King reports that he believes Arkansas has offered as a safety.
