Mission Accomplished

He came, he competed and he took care of his business.

That would be Fort Smith Northside offensive lineman Austin Eoff (6-5, 305), who was offered a scholarship by the University of Arkansas on Monday night.

The offer happened after he left the Houston Nutt Camp Tuesday afternoon to travel to Tulsa to join the Grizzlies for a team camp.

"They told me to keep my phone by me and I got a text telling me I had an offer," Eoff said from Tulsa. "Thank God it worked out for me."

Arkansas joins Tulsa and Arkansas State as schools that have offered Eoff, who was at the Razorback camp on Sunday and Monday in hopes of getting a scholarship offer.

He was competing along with some of the state's other top linemen in Russellville's Matt Hall (6-10, 320), Bentonville's Tyler Barnes (6-5, 290) and Springdale Har-Ber's Bryant Newell. (6-7, 295).

"It went great for me," Eoff said. "I didn't really know what to expect at first and I was probably kind of in awe. But when we moved to one-on-one I tried my hardest against some great competition and it worked out for me."

Eoff, who benches 315 pounds and squats 485, says he won't take much time announcing his decision.

"I pretty much know what I am going to do, but I am going to talk with my parents and I am at this team camp the rest of the week," Eoff said. "I'll talk with (Northside) head Coach (Darrell) Henry and I should have it all taken care of in a couple of weeks."
