Norman Not Transferring To Kansas

FAYETTEVILLE -- Former Arkansas wide receiver Andrew Norman is not expected to transfer to the University of Kansas, disputing a report posted Wednesday evening on the Kansas City Star's Web site.

"Looks to me like he won't be enrolling at Kansas," Robert Norman said Thursday. "I'm not sure where he'll be enrolling, but it appears it won't be Kansas."

Norman's father said earlier this week that his son was debating on whether to transfer to Kansas or the University of Tulsa.

Gus Malzahn, Norman's former Springdale High coach, is in his first year as Tulsa's co-offensive coordinator.

Norman, a redshirt freshman, asked Arkansas coach Houston Nutt for a release from his scholarship on Aug. 1. He will have to sit out a year if he transfers to another Division I-A school.
