UA Impresses Henry

Arkansas gets its shot to host Louisiana prep forward Terrance Henry and he leaves with great things to say about his visit.

Terrance Henry has been getting almost weekly visits from University of Arkansas head coach John Pelphrey and actually took the time this past weekend to make the trip to Fayetteville himself.

Henry, a 6-9, 185-pound forward from Monroe (La.) Carroll, took an official visit to the University of Arkansas over the weekend.

"My relationship with the Arkansas coaches has gotten stronger," Henry said. "We have a real bond. Coach Pelphrey has been coming down almost every week. I know how much they really want me and it makes me feel great."

He was clearly impressed with what he got to see over the weekend – albeit he has been on Fayetteville to play in The Real Deal on the Hill AAU tournament.

"I can't say enough about it," Henry said. "The arena and the tradition of the school are really great things. I really liked hanging out with the players and the coaches."

Henry had already been to Ole Miss and has treks slated for LSU, Kansas and Miami before making a decision.

He has eliminated Kentucky and numerous others from an earlier list.

"I just tried to pick ones that were closer to home," Henry said. "I am looking for a coach and players that I am going to be comfortable with.

"Playing time will also be something I am looking at," Henry added. "Arkansas and Ole Miss are losing their whole front lines so those are great situations for me."

Chris Oney, Henry's high school coach, played at Ole Miss late in his college career under current Arkansas assistant coach Rob Evans.

"He has been through college and the process so he got me ready for what it was going to be like," Henry said. "He has been a big help."
