The 11th annual Rumble on the Ridge gets underway Thanksgiving Day in Forrest City with at least a pair of juniors the University of Arkansas is known to be recruiting.
That would be the Duncanville (Texas) High duo of Shawn Williams (6-7) - who was born in Arkansas - and Roger Franklin (6-5), who help open the tournament when their team takes on Antioch (TN) in a 3:30 p.m. game.
The rest of the opening day slate of the three-day event has Memphis (TN) White Station battling Monroe (La.) Richwoods at 5, host Forrest City tangling with Meridian (MS) N.E. Lauderdale at 6:30 and Putnam City (OK) High mixing it up with Columbus (MS) New Hope at 8 p.m.
Action will get underway at 3:30 on Friday and 2 p.m on Saturday with the championship game set for Saturday night at 6:30.
Arkansas coaches will be in Forrest City on Friday to take in the action.
