Arkansas tailback Darren McFadden should win the Heisman Trophy if voters look at the junior's body of work over the last two seasons. That was the opinion of Arkansas interim head coach Reggie Herring on Sunday.
"Any coach who has watched us play -- and this is a team sport -- and seen us at the highest level, so is Darren," Herring said. "When he was at the highest level, no one stopped him.
"What I've seen him do the last two years, it's more than enough to secure the Heisman Trophy.
"If I was facing Darren, I would totally have a plan just for him and him alone. I'm sure there is not a defensive coordinator anywhere who has faced him that isn't glad, and it's a no brainer, that they are glad they don't have to face him again."
McFadden finished second in last year's Heisman Trophy voting. All ballots must be received by 5 p.m. Wednesday in the Heisman Trophy voting. McFadden is expected to be a Heisman finalist again this year.
