Four Jacks

Warren's Basmine Jones (6-1, 185, 4.4) enjoys official visit to the University of Arkansas and expects all four Lumberjacks to remain firm with the Razorbacks.

As many of the official visitors to the University of Arkansas this weekend mentioned, Bobby Petrino's pre-game speech on Saturday night had them raring to go.

Certainly Warren standout Basmine Jones, who committed back to Arkansas during the summer, (6-1, 185, 4.4) was one of those.

"That was great," Jones said. "I wanted to go jump into some pads and hit somebody."

Jones was one of 11 official visitors that Arkansas brought to campus this weekend.

He arrived on Friday while fellow Warren standouts and UA commits Jarius Wright, Chris Gragg and Greg Childs all arrived on Saturday after playing basketball.

That trio of wideouts can stay through Monday on their official visits.

Wright and Childs took other official visits leaving some to wonder if they would still be Razorbacks.

"We are all Fayetteville bound," Jones said. "There should be no worries about that. They are all enjoying themselves a lot just like I did."

Jones enjoyed getting to meet the full new Razorback staff this weekend.

"The coaches were great to be around," Jones said. "I rally enjoyed (linebackers) Coach (Reggie) Johnson and hanging out with the other players."

Jones played a variety of positions in high school or both offense and defense, but Petrino's staff is targeted him for defense.

"They told me they see me as a lockdown cover corner or a free safety," Jones said. "I'm looking forward to getting up there and helping out."
