Tack On The Maniac?

Arkansas appears to be making a move on North Little Rock defensive tackle Zach "The Maniac" Stadther (6-2, 275), who will get a home visit from Razorback head coach Bobby Petrino and assistant Tim Horton on Tuesday.

Now that there is a new football staff at the University of Arkansas, there is a crack in the door for North Little Rock defensive lineman Zach Stadther.

Stadther (6-2, 275), who committed to Kansas when the old Arkansas staff decided not to offer, is ready to run right through that door if given the chance.

"I am very, very excited and very interested," Stadther said. "If Arkansas offers, I will commit right away I have always wanted to be a Razorback."

Stadther got a visit from Arkansas assistants Tim Horton and Garrick McGee on Thursday and is scheduled to have a home visit with Razorback head coach Bobby Petrino and Horton on Tuesday.

"Coach Horton said there was a high chance that I was going to get an offer," Stadther said. "I am pretty excited to hear for them to get here and to see what they have to say."

Stadther, dubbed The Maniac by a former UA staff member, had over 100 tackles this season, including 35 for lost yardage, forced four fumbles and recovered one while making All-Arkansas and the Associated Press Super Team.

"It was just putting in hard work and trying to outwork everybody," Stadther said. "That is what I am all about."

He will likely be taking one to Arkansas this upcoming weekend.

"It's just an exciting time for me," Stadther said. "Like I said I am very interested in Arkansas."
