Adams Flips To Arkansas

Arkansas lands the biggest fish left out there when Central Arkansas Christian star Joe Adams (6-1, 180, 4.4) flips from USC to Arkansas on National Signing Day.

The University of Arkansas is now 10-for-10 in its own state.

Central Arkansas Christian star Joe Adams (6-1, 180, 4.4) signed with the Razorbacks on Wednesday morning.

Adams, who could line up at wideout or cornerback for Arkansas, changed his commitment at the last moment from USC and said the biggest factor in that was Arkansasx coaching change for a run-oriented head coach to a passing one.

"It was a big difference because he (UA head coach Bobby Petrio) runs an offense similar to what we run at Central Arkansas Christian so I think I will be able to have an impact," Adams told 103.7 The Buzz. "They told me I was going to come in and play the slot so I am guessing I will be starting on the offensive side and come in and do what I have to do."

A Hog Call went up before the ceremony on Wednesday and their was plenty of excitement when Adams announced the switch.

"It went crazy," Adams said. "It was real loud in there. I was happy for it."

That meant that new Razorback head coach Bobby Petrino will sign every member of the Hawgs Illustrated's preseason Top 10.

"This is real big because we have got a lot of good receivers coming in," Adams said.

Adams said he has high hopes for the Arkansas program.

"With all the people we have coming in, I think we can push for a national championship," Adams said.
