Wednesday Hoops Update

It was a nice day for Arkansas basketball, what with signing day news and a solid workout on the hardwood.

It was smiles all around at practice today. The staff had a tough time hiding its good spirits, resulting from a combination of the completion of a tremendous recruitng class and a growing sense that this year's team may be a bit further along than many of us would have expected.

Practice was crisp and the execution was good. Kendrick Davis once again was dropping in bombs from everywhere.

Some spirited rebounding from Wen Mukubu and Jamar Blackmon gave the 'Red" team a convincing victory over the probable first teamers in one segment of the "War" rebounding game.

Blake Eddins continues to make progress in his efforts to regain his shooting stroke. The center position is still up for grabs and just judging by the alignments today Blake Eddins, Jonothon Modica and Michael Jones may be pushing Carl Baker for playing time.
