Inside Pitch

Homerless Tigers Auburn came into their showdown with Arkansas having hit 46 home runs. But against the Razorbacks, the big bats were held in check for at least one game.

For just the third time this season, Auburn was held without a home run as Arkansas pitchers Dallas Keuchel, Mike Bolsinger and Stephen Richards scattered 11 hits. But nine of those hits were singles, with the other two resulting in doubles.

"I couldn't ask for much more than this," Arkansas coach Dave Van Horn said. "(Dallas) has thrown extremely well, he's throwing strikes. And with a team with an offense like they have, you have to make them earn it and Dallas did everything he could to keep us in the game."

Friday Night Wrap

Arkansas improved to 4-0 in the Southeastern Conference for only the second time in school history, matching the best start in SEC play as well... The only other time the Razorbacks started 4-0 in the SEC was in 1998... Ryan Cisterna was just 4-for-32 this season before hitting his game-winning home run in the ninth inning... Keuchel issued no walks in eight innings Friday and has allowed just three free passes in 33 innings this year... Ben Tschepikow extended his hitting streak to 12 games, the longest streak by a Razorback this season.

Up Next...

Arkansas will attempt to win its third series in the last four visits to Auburn with a victory today. The Razorbacks took a series at Auburn in both 2003 and 2007, dropping the series in 2005. With Bolsinger seeing a third of an inning in relief Friday, expect T.J. Forrest to win his starting job back in the rotation today for the Hogs. Forrest has not pitched since a relief stint last Saturday against Florida. His last start came on Mar. 7 against Cal.
