Juniors Galore

Not only will the University of Arkansas football program be having a scrimmage Saturday morning, but it will be hosting some 100 prospects for Junior Day.

While the University of Arkansas will get an idea of its present in Saturday morning's scrimmage, some of the future may be standing on the sidelines.

Some 100 prospects will be on hand this morning as the Razorbacks go through their 10 a.m. workout – something that UA assistant and recruiting coordinator Tim Horton says is invaluable.

"So often on these Junior Days, you are able to show the prospects all your facilities and let them meet the coaches, but having them around when you are practicing really gives them an idea what your program is all about," Horton said. "We are excited that the guys we are going to have on hand are really going to get a good look at everything we are about."

Arkansas had an informal Junior Day back on Feb. 14 when the Razorback basketball team was hosting Kentucky.

Many of the top in-state players including the Little Rock Christian duo of tailback Michael Dyer and tight end Dakota Mosely were in for that.

"There is no question that we have a really good mix of in-state and out-of-state players coming," Horton said. "We had several guys up earlier and will have some more coming later, but there is a lot of talent that will be on campus during this day."

Two of the top prospects expected to be on hand are the Arlington (Texas) High brother duo of quarterback Matt Joeckel (6-4, 218) and offensive lineman Luke Joeckel (6-6, 280).
