After an official visit to the University of Arkansas this weekend, Mississippi prep basketball standout Julysess Nobles is ready to make a decision.
He'll "most likely" announce that on Tuesday.
"I had a great visit and they are in good shape with me," Nobles said. "They showed me around campus and I was very impressed with their facilities, that weight room and that scoreboard inside the arena. Most likely I will announce my decision on Tuesday."
Nobles (6-1, 175) led Jackson Callaway to the Class 4A and overall state titles this season while averaging 21 points and 6 assists per game for a 33-6 squad.
He is a candidate for Mr. Basketball in the Magnolia State and also just considering Arkansas, UAB and Georgia State after Florida State lost a scholarship due to NCAA sanctions and no longer has one available.
"Arkansas' coaches told me that they came see me coming in and help running the team and also be a guy that could knock down some jump shots," Nobles said. "They think I could really fit in and I can see that."
Nobles, who had earlier been to Fayetteville to play in the Real Deal on the Hill, says that he does not plan to take any more visits.
"I played in an all-star game last weekend and talked with the UAB coaches there, but didn't go visit there," Nobles said. "But after what I saw this weekend, I am not visiting anywhere else."
