Garrett Uekman is one happy camper – literally.
After finishing up at the University of Arkansas Football Camp on Tuesday, the 6-4, 235-pound Little Rock Catholic tight end arrived home to find something new on the table.
That would be a scholarship offer from the University of Arkansas to go along with earlier ones from LSU and UCA.
"They called my coach to let him know and he got in touch with me," Uekman said. "I am not going to lie, I am very happy about this and it is what I have dreamed of for a long time."
Uekman then committed to the Razorbacks on Wednesday to give them four verbal pledges in the 2010 class.
Uekman, who had 54 catches and five touchdowns last season, obviously put a good effort at camp.
"They put me at both fullback and tight end at camp and I showed them that I could catch the ball and had the speed to get down the field," Uekman said. "In fact, I was the fastest tight end there. We had races and I won that competition. I really feel like it all worked out for me."
