Arkansas Hoops Schedule Finalized

FAYETTEVILLE — There's good news for Arkansas basketball fans wanting to watch the Razorbacks on television: In Southeastern Conference play, you'll get your wish.

The SEC television schedule for the 2009-10 basketball season was announced Thursday, revealing that all 96 conference games will be televised as part of the league's 15-year agreements with ESPN and CBS.

The announcement also finalizes the Razorbacks' 31-game schedule. The nonconference portion — which includes games against Oklahoma, Texas, Baylor and Louisville — was released last month.

Arkansas' 16-game SEC slate will begin with a road trip to Mississippi State on Jan. 14, which will be televised by ESPNU. Two other highlights the first month include home games against Florida on Jan. 21 and Mississippi State on Jan. 28. Both will be on either ESPN or ESPN2.

In all, Arkansas also has nine conference games scheduled for the SEC Network, three on CSS, two on ESPN or ESPN2, and one apiece on ESPNU and Fox Sports Net. CBS will not televise any Arkansas games this season.

The schedule also reveals that the Razorbacks' off week will come at the beginning of SEC play. It gives Arkansas nine days between its nonconference finale against Texas (Jan. 5) and SEC opener (Jan. 14).

Nonconference game times and television schedules have not yet been announced.
