Morgan State 97, Arkansas 94 (Final)
Reggie Holmes hit six consecutive free throws down the stretch and Clarke's 3-point attempt was no good as time expired in the Bears' win.
Clarke had hit a pair of treys with 14.1 seconds and 6.5 seconds left to keep Arkansas within reach.
Clarke finished with 26 points for the Hogs. Mike Washington had 21 and freshmen Powell and Julysses Nobles each finished with 17.
Holmes led all scorers with 34 points.
Dudley will have more in a bit.
Arkansas 83, Morgan State 81 (2:55 second half)
Stefan Welsh's floater with 3:17 left has given Arkansas the lead for now but this game is far from over. There have been four lead changes and three ties in the last seven minutes of this game.
Morgan State 69, Arkansas 68 (7:59 second half)
Not sure at what point a tightly-officiated contest borders poor officiating but this game is pushing the limit.
There have been a total 42 fouls called in this game and some have been, for a lack of a better word, bizarre.
Morgan State took the lead on the last foul with a pair of free throws. Clarke - who has scored just two points since halftime - is at the line when we come back from the timeout to shoot a pair for Arkansas. He is 4-of-5 thus far from the charity stripe tonight.
Arkansas 63, Morgan State 60 (11:59 second half)
What do you say about this game? It's a series of traded baskets in the second half and the Hogs have maintained a three-point lead.
Something to keep an eye on as this one comes down to the end is foul trouble. Clarke has three for Arkansas. John Long, Ameer Ali and Kevin Thompson each have three for the Bears, while Rod Stokes has four.
Arkansas 53, Morgan State 47 (Halftime)
Powell's stick-back gave the Razorbacks this lead heading into halftime. Reggie Holmes' 3-point shot at the buzzer was no good.
Powell has 16 points and Clarke has added 14 points for the Razorbacks in the first half. Mike Washington has nine points and two boards.
Holmes leads the Bears with 19 points on 5-of-10 shooting, including 3-of-6 from 3-point range.
The Bears responded to Arkansas' earlier run with a 10-2 stretch of their own to pull within 49-44 and got to within four points on a 3-pointer with about one minute left in the frame. .
Arkansas 47, Morgan State 37 (3:18 first half)
Free throws and fouls have really been the story of the first half. Morgan State is 14-of-15 from the free throw line on nine Arkansas fouls. The Razorbacks are 16-of-22 from the charity stripe on 16 fouls.
Arkansas used a nice full court press to generate a 9-0 run to build its largest lead at 47-34. The Razorbacks have forced seven turnovers and the Bears are just 10-of-28 from the field.
Marshawn Powell has 14 points on 6-of-7 shooting for the Razorbacks and Clarke has scored 12. He will be at the line when play resumes for two more shots.
Arkansas 34, Morgan State 28 (7:42 first half)
Stefan Welsh has made his first appearance since the last media timeout. He has one point and two rebounds thus far.
Clarke has been the story early on for the Razorbacks with 12 points on 4-of-5 shooting from the floor and 2-of-3 from the free throw line to this point.
We said you'll have to watch for Holmes and that has proven true. He has nine points and Joe Davis has added seven to lead the Bears.
Arkansas 25, Morgan State 18 (11:30 first half)
After a rather boring first seven minutes this game is starting to show some life. Rotnei Clarke has scored Arkansas' last eight points, including back-to-back 3-pointers to open up the seven-point lead.
Arkansas has hit 9-of-12 free throws thus far and is 7-of-10 from the field. The problem has been rebounding as the Hogs are being outdone in that category 11-4.
As noted above it looks like Stefan Welsh will return tonight. He was warming up with the team in the pregame and is dressed out. Remember suspended players are not allowed inside the arena on game nights.
Arkansas coach John Pelphrey said in his press conference Monday that Welsh might return for this game.
Small crowd in attendance again tonight. That is noticed most in the student section where most have already headed home for Thanksgiving. The dorms at the University of Arkansas shut down today.
Morgan State enters the game with a 3-1 record and is coming off a 90-81 loss at Louisville over the weekend.
Look for guard Reggie Holmes tonight for the Bears. He is averaging 21.3 points per game this season.
There will be no TV tonight. It is one of just four remaining games this season that will not be televised.
