Morgan State 97, Arkansas 94 (Final)

Reggie Holmes hit six consecutive free throws down the stretch and Clarke's 3-point attempt was no good as time expired in the Bears' win.

Clarke finished with 26 points for the Hogs. Mike Washington had 21 and freshmen Powell and Julysses Nobles each finished with 17.

Holmes led all scorers with 34 points.

Not sure at what point a tightly-officiated contest borders poor officiating but this game is pushing the limit.

There have been a total 42 fouls called in this game and some have been, for a lack of a better word, bizarre.

Morgan State took the lead on the last foul with a pair of free throws. Clarke - who has scored just two points since halftime - is at the line when we come back from the timeout to shoot a pair for Arkansas. He is 4-of-5 thus far from the charity stripe tonight.

Arkansas 25, Morgan State 18 (11:30 first half)

After a rather boring first seven minutes this game is starting to show some life. Rotnei Clarke has scored Arkansas' last eight points, including back-to-back 3-pointers to open up the seven-point lead.

Arkansas has hit 9-of-12 free throws thus far and is 7-of-10 from the field. The problem has been rebounding as the Hogs are being outdone in that category 11-4.

Pregame

As noted above it looks like Stefan Welsh will return tonight. He was warming up with the team in the pregame and is dressed out. Remember suspended players are not allowed inside the arena on game nights.

Arkansas coach John Pelphrey said in his press conference Monday that Welsh might return for this game.

Small crowd in attendance again tonight. That is noticed most in the student section where most have already headed home for Thanksgiving. The dorms at the University of Arkansas shut down today.

Morgan State enters the game with a 3-1 record and is coming off a 90-81 loss at Louisville over the weekend.

Look for guard Reggie Holmes tonight for the Bears. He is averaging 21.3 points per game this season.

There will be no TV tonight. It is one of just four remaining games this season that will not be televised.
