Arkansas freshman Brandon Mitchell has decided to leave the basketball program, we learned just prior to tip-off. Mitchell cited the desire to focus on just one sport instead of two. Given Bobby Petrino's demand on quarterbacks in spring practice.
"We are grateful to Brandon for the time he spent with the basketball team," Arkansas coach John Pelphrey said. "He is a fantastic young man who did everything we asked of him while with us. I wish him the best in his football career."
As for tonight's game, there is a small crowd on hand - probably near the 7,500 averaged the last couple of outings.
East Tennessee State was an NCAA Tournament team in 2008-09. Should be another good test for the young Razorbacks.
