Interview: Kyle Cunningham

We caught up with Kyle, who is an All-District 5A-1, as well, the District's Defensive Lineman of the Year. Kyle is an athletic defensive end, who also excels as a power forward for Southeast High School basketball team. Kyle's first stop will be at USMAPS, where he will continue craft his talents and join the Black Knights class of 2004.

ArmySports.com: Hey Kyle, how are you?
Kyle Cunningham: I doing fine, thank you.

ArmySports.com: What other schools were you hearing from and did you have any other offers?
Kyle Cunningham: I was hearing from Tulsa, Rice & Nebraska.

ArmySports.com: What was the most significant factor that led you to pick Army?
Kyle Cunningham: The education. I visited West Point and it just blew me away. I committed the next day when I got home and talked it over with my parents.

ArmySports.com: Kyle, talk about your high school career a little bit and let the Army fans reading this know how you did your senior season.
Kyle Cunningham: It went great. I was defensive lineman of the year in my district. I couldn't ask for more.

ArmySports.com: What are your current height & weight?
Kyle Cunningham: I'm 6-4 and 240.

ArmySports.com: What are you doing to prepare yourself physically for the upcoming season?
Kyle Cunningham: Lifting hard and running. I'm also doing the Army workout program.

ArmySports.com: What goals have you set for yourself for the upcoming season?
Kyle Cunningham: Coming into this season in the best shape possible.
