KENT, OHIO-- The long wait is finally over! Army is now bowl eligible for the first time since 1996 after a 45-28 victory over Kent State. Army piled up 233 yards rushing against the nation's No. 1 rushing defense.
Despite qualifying to play in a bowl a postseason game is not guaranteed. Although the Black Knights have secondary tie ins with the Bell Helicopter Armed Forces Bowl and the Military Bowl, Army
has no primary bowl tie in and must hope that the primary conference tie ins for the aforementioned bowls fall short.
